
A Japanese Maple in fall color. Despite it being November, it was unseasonably warm, and many of the garden trees had not even begun to turn. Tsumadori-san explained that it takes a certain number of nights below a certain temperature to initiate the process. This maple has beautiful nebari, and is planted in a shallow pot to with the soil slightly mounded to accentuate the clasping feel of the root base
