Tsumadori-san's stone. This is a very unique suiseki! The arch and open center give it a sculptural quality. The silhouette of the open center changes with the viewing position and is essentially the essence of the composition. Even the proportions of the two sides are of interest. One can imagine a natural rock formation at the seashore with water crashing against the archway, or perhaps the stone is figurative, with a mother on the left stooping to embrace her son on his first day of school?
